American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, participated in a Mumbai event to promote the upcoming film Ramayana, as seen in this online video that went viral after the actor and the YouTuber chanted “Jai Shri Ram”.
The event, which saw the participation of various members of the film’s team, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, the director Nitesh Tiwari and the producer Namit Malhotra, was part of the film’s international promotional campaign, as the makers seek to take the Indian epic to a foreign audience.
YouTuber MrBeast attended a Mumbai event for the upcoming film ‘Ramayana’, where he and star Ranbir Kapoor chanted “Jai Shri Ram”, sparking viral attention. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the two-part film also features Sai Pallavi and is slated for release in November 2026 and 2027.
While interacting with MrBeast, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the story of the Ramayana and its cultural significance. At one point, the actor invited the YouTuber to chant “Jai Shri Ram”, an act that he joined in, thus winning the cheers of the audience. The clip eventually went viral on social media.
Another notable moment of the event saw Ranbir Kapoor, who stars as Lord Ram in the film, lift a replica of the Shiv Dhanush after offering prayers, an act that also garnered immense social media attention.

The makers of Ramayana have been wooing the public with the promise of an international production, as producer Namit Malhotra has been talking about his ambitions to take the epic to foreign shores.
In addition to starring as Lord Ram, Ranbir Kapoor has been joined in the film by Sai Pallavi as Sita, with Yash playing Ravana and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, while Sunny Deol has been cast as Hanuman.
Ramayana is being made as a two-part theatrical film, with the first installment scheduled to release worldwide in November 2026, with the second part set to release in 2027.
