Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahi’s son Yair Netanyahu has returned to Israel from Florida after authorities found a “significant threat” against him. The Shin Bet security agency confirmed the evacuation but still not revealed the threat or who are responsible.
Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, was evacuated from Florida to Israel after the Shin Bet security agency identified a significant threat, the details of which remain undisclosed amidst heightened Israel-Iran tensions.
Why Was Yair Netanyahu Evacuated?
35-year-old Yair Netanyahu was in Florida when Israel authorities decided to return him to Israel with his security team. Shin Bet also confirmed the threat but has not linked it to any specific group or country.
The development came after few weeks when Israel PM Netanyahu himself confirmed that Iran had attempted to assassinate his sons. While speaking to Israel’s Channel 14 on 24 August, he said Iran had targeted one of his sons and “tried to murder him”. Although he didn’t identify whether it was Yair or his younger son Avner.
Yair Netanyahu’s Life In Miami
Yair Netanyahu moved to Miami in 2023 and was living their since then. He has been supporter of his father and defended his father online and attacked his critics.
Shin Bet expanded security protection nfor Yair and Avnet and their mother Sara Netanyahu in July itself. The evacuation came at the time when Israel-Iran tensions are on peak.
