Pakistan Air Force’s latest attempt to showcase its military prowess has landed rather differently on social media, with netizens mocking what they describe as a propaganda-heavy video filled with AI-generated visuals.
Released on the occasion of Pakistan Air Force Day, the video makes a series of sweeping claims about the country’s military actions, including allegedly “grounding” the Indian Air Force and destroying Indian military assets.
Pakistan Air Force’s PAF Day promotional video, featuring AI-generated claims of destroying Indian military assets like Rafale jets and S-400 systems, faced widespread social media mockery for its alleged propaganda and reliance on animation instead of verifiable evidence.
Among its claims, the Pakistan Air Force says four Rafale fighter jets, a Su-30MKI, a MiG-29, a Mirage fighter and a Heron UAV were destroyed. The funniest part of the video is that it claims that Pakistani forces attacked 32 Indian Air Force bases, hit S-400 air-defence systems, disrupted India’s national power grid and fuel supply chain, leaked sensitive Indian Army documents and jammed Indian military satellites.
One of the most ridiculed portions of the video is its depiction of an alleged Pakistani strike on an Indian S-400 system. Rather than satellite imagery, photographs or other verifiable evidence, the video uses an animated sequence to illustrate the attack.
Social media users were quick to seize on the visuals. “After launching AI made buffoonery, PAF showcases its latest Air Defence weapon. India should beware,” a user identified as Viktor wrote sarcastically.
Another user, Shadow IND, mocked the presentation, writing, “After a year of Operation Sindoor, Pakistan finally brought out its ‘undeniable proof’ of destroying the S-400. 😂 Thanks to @GeminiApp [Free Version] 😉”
The third user took an even broader swipe at Pakistan Air Force Day, writing, “The biggest achievement of the PAF? They have never had any real achievements,” while accusing Pakistan of pushing propaganda for decades.
Another one also joined the trolling, sarcastically writing, “India and Russia in Shock! Pak Airforce just destroyed S-400 with AI😂”
OSINT account Indus OSINT and Research highlighted the S-400 sequence and wrote that after repeated Pakistani claims about destroying the system, the evidence being showcased was an animated depiction. “So, apparently, when the real evidence is missing, animation will have to do,” the post said.
Another user described the production as a desperate attempt to counter Discovery+’s documentary on Operation Sindoor, alleging that the PAF video relied on “cheap, low quality AI graphics” and AI-generated imagery rather than actual strike or satellite evidence.
India launched military operation in May 2025 following the Pahalgam terror attack which killed 26 civilians. From day one, India has been giving updates about the strikes.
India first carried out precision strikes against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and deep inside Pakistan and subsequently targeted Pakistani military facilities during the escalation.
In fact, India destroyed Pakistan’s air bases in Nur Khan Air Base (Chaklala, near Islamabad/Rawalpindi), Sargodha Air BaseBholari Air Base, Jacobabad Air Base, Sukkur Air Base, Rahim Yar Khan Air Base, Rafiqui Air Base, Murid Air Base, Sialkot Air Base, Pasrur Air Base, Chunian Air Base, and Skardu Air Base.
In addition to the primary airforce bases, the initial phase of Operation Sindoor heavily targeted and destroyed 9 major terrorist command camps operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) deep inside Pakistani territory, including their respective headquarters in Bahawalpur and Muridke.
Former Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan recently said the ceasefire was decided directly between the Directors General of Military Operations of India and Pakistan.
Speaking at the Vivekananda Centre in New Delhi, Chauhan said the two DGMOs spoke by telephone and coordinated the ceasefire, adding, “So the ceasefire is decided between two DGMOs. And that’s it. Means I don’t see the role of anyone else.”
The latest PAF video has also arrived shortly after the release of Declassified: Operation Sindoor, Discovery’s two-part documentary on India’s 88-hour military operation. Released on Discovery and discovery+ on August 15, the documentary features National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh and former CDS Anil Chauhan, among other senior military officials.
