Actor Prakash Raj will join the Cockroach Janta Party’s protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Sunday. The Gen-Z movement is demanding Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over alleged exam irregularities, including the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case.

The Bengaluru gathering is part of a wider protest drive across India. The CJP has accused the education system of failing students. It has also sought accountability from the Union government over alleged paper leaks and related concerns.

Actor Prakash Raj is joining the Cockroach Janta Party’s protest in Bengaluru on Sunday, demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over alleged exam irregularities like the NEET-UG paper leak. This CJP protest seeks government accountability and is part of a nationwide campaign.

CJP protest gains support from Prakash Raj

Prakash Raj and the Cockroach Janta Party confirmed the Bengaluru plan through posts on X. The actor is known as a regular critic of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was earlier expected at the CJP’s first Delhi protest, but did not attend.

The party posted, “Big Announcement: Activist Prakash Raj Will Be Joining CJP’s Peaceful Protest At Bengaluru!” Raj also shared his travel plans on X and urged people to join the event. Both updates confirmed his presence in Karnataka’s capital.

Raj wrote, “I am travelling to reach Bengaluru.. to support this relevant peaceful protest.. please join us to raise our voice and make the government accountable for its failure.” He had earlier cited “impending prior work” for missing the Delhi protest.

CJP protest spreads across Indian cities

The Bengaluru event follows several CJP demonstrations held over the past week. The group held a large protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6. It then organised gatherings in Pune on June 11 and Lucknow on June 12.

The campaign moved to Amritsar in Punjab on June 13. On Sunday morning, the CJP will also hold a protest in Hyderabad, Telangana. Activist Sonam Wangchuk is expected to address the Hyderabad gathering on the same day.

At the Amritsar protest, Dipke announced plans for another Delhi mobilisation on June 20. Dipke said, “We will all go to Delhi on June 20 and camp there till the time Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Do not be afraid to go to jail. When I returned to India from the US, I also thought that I would be put behind bars. The main objective is to provide justice to NEET and CBSE students. Accountability must be fixed. Paper leaks can’t go on.”

CJP protest focuses on NEET and CBSE students

During the Pune protest, Dipke said Prime Minister Narendra Modi faced a clear choice. Dipke said the issue was whether “one crore students or one incompetent minister” mattered more. The statement linked the movement’s demand to students affected by exam concerns.

In Lucknow, Dipke told media, “We will continue the protest until the education minister resigns. I only want to appeal to the students to continue peaceful protest and join the mass mobilisation at Jantar Mantar on June 20.” The appeal stressed peaceful participation by students.

At the earlier Delhi protest, hundreds of people joined the demonstration. Most participants were young, while several school students arrived with parents. Many protesters wore cockroach masks and carried flowers, giving the event a distinct visual identity.

The CJP’s Bengaluru protest now adds another major city to the campaign. With Prakash Raj joining the event, the group’s demand remains focused on Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The movement continues to centre its message on exam fairness, student justice and accountability.
