Actor Rakhi Sawant faces another legal challenge after a court issued a non-bailable warrant against her in a case relating to the death of a man who appeared on her reality TV show Rakhi Ka Insaaf in 2010.
The warrant was issued on Friday by the Additional District and Sessions Judge of the Fast Track Court. According to District Government Counsel (Crime) Mridul Kant Srivastava, Sawant was given a notice as she did not appear before the court on several occasions.
A Jhansi court issued a non-bailable warrant against actor Rakhi Sawant on Friday concerning the 2010 suicide death of Lakshman Ahirwar, who appeared on her reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’ and allegedly faced verbal abuse. The case is scheduled to reconvene on December 1.
This latest development comes 16 years after Lakshman Ahirwar, a Jhansi native, appeared on the show with his wife to discuss their marital discord. Ahirwar accused Sawant of verbally abusing him and calling him impotent on the show as she tried to help the couple reach an amicable solution.

Lakshman later committed suicide, and his family members filed a complaint against the actress alleging that his suicide was influenced by the show and the behavior of its host.
It was alleged that the 34-year-old Jhansi man was subjected to depression as a result of the show’s episode, and since then, his family members have been trying to take legal action against Rakhi Ka Insaaf.
The case was filed by Ahirwar’s mother, Savitri, at the Prem Nagar police station, where she complained that the reality TV show host used abusive language toward her son on the show.
Recently, the case was taken up by the Jhansi court in relation to the suicide of Ahirwar, and a non-bailable warrant was issued against the actress in her absence. The case is set to reconvene on December 1.
Sawant’s Rakhi Ka Insaaf show was known for featuring guests and conducting personal and intimate discussions about delicate topics and family conflicts. The show often saw the actress confronting visitors on their problems.
