After a long protest against the NEET paper leak, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from his post on Saturday. While Dharmendra Pradhan announced it on social media and the resignation is still need to get acceptance from PM Modi, the move has become widespread on social media. Many celebrities have come out in support and many hails Students for this long protest.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned following protests linked to the NEET paper leak. Comedians Samay Raina and Vir Das supported the students, while CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke declared victory but demanded compensation for victims’ families and action against police.

Comedian Samay Raina who has been in controversies since a long time now has reacted to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. While sharing his feelings on social media, he wrote “More power to the students.”

Another Comedian and actor Vir Das also supported the move and praised students. “You restored a single word of a tiny little sentence of that book we all read in school and forgot. You beautiful kids. Whatever the hell happens from here, you won. Now hurry up and celebrate.”

Now their reaction is being spread online as the celebration of victor for students protest.

Protest Leaders Say Movement Will Continue

Even CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced this as the victory for student protest, while he can be seen celebrating the victory said, “We did it. We have done it. Jhukti hai duniya, jhukane wala chahiye.”

Abhijeet Dipke also shared his official statement on the matter and posted on X, “This is democracy. He has resigned. We have two more demands. We won’t go like this. Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. But the families of the children who committed suicide should receive compensation of one crore rupees. They should get it. One crore rupees compensation to all those families. And second, these police goons who acted on the 20th. Action must be taken against the police officers for that. Remember, do not mess with cockroach.”

Why the Resignation Matters

Interestingly, the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar started with its first and main demand was to get resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The protest was held at multiple cities and the core demand was his resign.
