The State Bank of India has started online applications for SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026, offering 7,150 posts across regions. Registration opens on May 19, 2026 and closes on June 8 through the careers section of sbi.co.in. Selected apprentices train for one year and receive a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and meet age rules, with the limit set between 20 and 28 years as on August 30, 2026. Selection includes an online written examination in October and November followed by a local language test. Applicants also need to qualify the aptitude test conducted under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.

The State Bank of India (SBI) is offering 7,150 Apprentice positions for 2026, with online applications accepted from May 19 to June 8, 2026, on sbi.co.in. Applicants require a bachelor’s degree, meet age criteria (20-28 years), and undergo selection exams for a one-year training program with a Rs 15,000 monthly stipend.

For SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026, applicants need a bachelor’s degree from any recognised university or college in India. The minimum age allowed is 20 years, while the upper limit is 28 years on August 30, 2026. Candidates must additionally clear the aptitude test conducted by the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme before being considered for engagement.

SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 application process and fees

Applications for SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 are accepted only through SBI’s careers portal at sbi.co.in. Candidates should open the recruitment page and click on the notification link titled “SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026”. After completing registration with correct details, applicants need to fill the online form, upload required information, pay the fee if applicable, then submit and download the acknowledgement.

Under SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026, the application fee is charged only for some categories. General, OBC and EWS applicants need to pay Rs 300 online. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwBD categories do not have to pay any fee for submitting the apprentice application form.

SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 exam pattern and training details

The written test for SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is scheduled between October and November. The computer-based exam lasts 60 minutes and carries 100 marks for 100 objective questions. Sections cover General or Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability with Computer Aptitude. After qualifying this stage, candidates must also pass a separate local language proficiency test.

The SBI apprentice engagement lasts for one year, during which each selected candidate gets structured training in banking operations along with a stipend of Rs 15,000 every month. The recruitment drive for 7,150 positions offers graduates practical exposure in branch and back-office functions, with the application window remaining open on sbi.co.in until June 8, 2026.
