The CJP protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan intensified at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar as demonstrators spent the night at the protest site, refusing to leave until their demands are met.

Protesters from CJP are continuing an overnight sit-in at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination and seeking greater accountability.

What began as a planned one-day demonstration has now turned into an extended sit-in, with protesters staying overnight under the open sky and vowing to continue their agitation.

Protest Continues Beyond Scheduled Duration

According to CJP protesters, permission for the demonstration was initially granted for only one day. However, many participants decided to remain at the venue after the scheduled period ended, saying they would not leave until concrete action is taken.

Their primary demand remains the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the NEET examination and allegations of irregularities in the system.

As night fell over Jantar Mantar, several protesters spread blankets and sheets on the ground and prepared to stay at the venue overnight.

Images and videos from the site showed demonstrators resting under the open sky, turning the protest venue into a temporary camp.

Many participants said they had travelled from different parts of the country to join the demonstration and were prepared to stay for as long as necessary.

The unusual scenes highlighted the determination of the protesters, many of whom are students and young people demanding accountability over issues related to competitive examinations.

Despite the challenges of spending the night outdoors, participants continued raising slogans and discussing their next course of action.

Demand for Minister’s Resignation

The protesters argue that merely conducting re-examinations is not enough and that accountability must be fixed for repeated controversies linked to national-level entrance tests.

Several demonstrators maintained that the protest would continue until Dharmendra Pradhan steps down from his position.

The demand has become the central theme of the agitation, with banners, placards, and speeches at the venue repeatedly calling for the minister’s resignation.

Growing Student Participation

The demonstration has witnessed participation from students, recent graduates, activists, and concerned citizens. Many young protesters have used creative slogans, posters, and social media campaigns to amplify their message.

Over the past few days, Jantar Mantar has emerged as a gathering point for those seeking reforms in the examination system and greater transparency in the conduct of competitive tests.

As the protest enters another day, organisers say they intend to continue peacefully while pressing for their demands.

With protesters refusing to disperse and authorities monitoring the situation, attention is now focused on whether the demonstration will gather wider support in the coming days.
For the participants spending their nights at Jantar Mantar, the message remains clear:

they are determined to keep their voices heard until they receive what they consider meaningful accountability from those in charge.
