The ugly and increasingly explosive fallout surrounding Jayam Ravi and Aarti Ravi has now dragged yet another major Kollywood personality into the centre of the storm. Actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar has lashed out at abusive social media users after being viciously targeted by a section of Ravi’s fans for publicly supporting Aarti amid the actor’s bitter marital war.
In a fiery reaction posted online, Khushbu wrote: “Some are just hell bent to prove their DNA. Thank you for proving me right. 🙏😊”
The fallout from Jayam Ravi and Aarti Ravi’s marital dispute escalated as actress Khushbu Sundar faced backlash for supporting Aarti, leading Jayam Ravi to hold a press conference alleging blackmail and denial of child access, turning it into a major Kollywood controversy.
The sharp remark came after angry Ravi supporters accused her of interfering in the actor’s personal life and allegedly encouraging the growing rift between him and Aarti.
The controversy erupted after Aarti posted a cryptic but powerful Instagram message that many interpreted as her warning shot amid the ongoing public meltdown.
“You never wake a sleeping lion. God help if she’s a mamma lion,” Aarti wrote. “My dignified silence should never be mistaken for weakness or taken undue advantage of. If needed, to protect my children and my dignity, I will step out of my comfort zone and face the world with the truth. Because truth always prevails.”
Khushbu quickly rallied behind her close friend and publicly backed Aarti with an emotional message of support.
“Never mess with a mother. And you are a lioness with her cubs. More power to you my baby,” she wrote, showering Aarti with hearts and encouragement.
But that support instantly triggered outrage among hardcore Ravi fans, who began accusing Khushbu of siding against the actor at a time when he appeared emotionally devastated and publicly broken.

The situation worsened after Ravi’s explosive press meet in Chennai, where the actor made a series of sensational allegations about his marriage, cyberbullying and people allegedly trying to destroy his reputation.
At the emotionally charged interaction, Ravi repeatedly claimed that his silence over the past two years had been mistaken for weakness.
“My silence became my biggest mistake,” he said. “People used it against me. Everyone thought I was weak.”
The actor also stunned fans by indirectly attacking an unnamed actress, referring to her as the “three-letter Idli Nadigai”.
“One 3-letter Idli Nadigai… I don’t want to name her. What right do you have to speak about me? First look at your own life,” he said angrily.
That cryptic attack, combined with Khushbu’s public support for Aarti, led many fans to speculate online that Ravi’s comments may have been indirectly aimed at the actress-politician – though he never mentioned her name.
Khushbu, notably, has been a close friend of both Ravi and Aarti for several years, making the situation even more complicated.
Meanwhile, singer Chinmayi also appeared to weigh in on the controversy with a cryptic social media post discussing emotional trauma and narcissistic abuse.
“The ramifications of narcissistic abuse can be long lasting; there is no awareness about what it is and how it can be perpetrated. May they be healed,” she wrote.
Ravi’s press conference itself has now become one of the most explosive celebrity interactions Tamil cinema has witnessed in recent years. Fighting back tears, the actor alleged that he was being denied access to his own children and claimed he was living through “hell” since the beginning of his marriage.
“She blackmailed me. She cut her hand and blackmailed me to marry her. From day one, I have been living a hellish life,” Ravi alleged shockingly.
He further accused unnamed people of using PR machinery and cyberbullying tactics to destroy him mentally.
“I am dying slowly. But before I die, I will finish everyone,” he said emotionally, while also admitting that he had started hurting himself and was struggling to live without his children.
With cryptic accusations, celebrity interventions, emotional breakdowns and fan wars now dominating social media, the Jayam Ravi-Aarti saga has spiralled far beyond a private marital dispute – turning into one of Kollywood’s most disturbing and sensational public controversies in recent memory.
