There were reports of a shocking case that happened in Sector 89, Gurugram in the late hours of the night as a Mahindra Thar car ran over a Rapido cab several times after an argument took place between a group of youngsters.
In Gurugram’s Sector 89, a Mahindra Thar driver allegedly rammed a Rapido cab multiple times following an argument, causing extensive damage but leaving the three occupants uninjured; the cab driver filed a complaint at Kherki Daula police station, and an investigation is ongoing.
The cab had sustained a lot of damage as a result of the accident and both of its front airbags went off. It is said that three people, including the cab driver, were present inside the cab during this incident and were uninjured.
Argument Between Friends Turns Violent
As per eyewitness reports, there were four youngsters who had come to Sector 89 in a Mahindra Thar, which was registered in Delhi. As per eyewitness reports, an altercation occurred between them when they came to that area.

In the altercation, two of them came out of the Thar and decided to go home on their own. They used the Rapido application to book a cab and waited for it by the side of the road.
But then when the cab stopped at the spot and they entered it, something dangerous happened.
Thar Driver Allegedly Rams Cab Several Times
The Thar driver is alleged to have gotten aggressive and headed towards the cab. Despite efforts by the cab driver to prevent him, the Thar is alleged to have hit the car.
Witnesses claim that the Thar driver reversed the Thar and hit the cab again. This action is alleged to have been repeated a number of times, damaging the front end of the cab extensively.
The impact from the collision was such that both front airbags of the car deployed. Videos taken by people on the scene depict the damaged cab after these collisions.
It is alleged that the two passengers and the cab driver were frightened during this event. They have survived because of the protection offered by the car’s safety features and the deployment of the airbags.
Video Of The Incident Goes Viral
Several people at the spot reportedly recorded the incident on their mobile phones. One such video shows the Thar repeatedly moving towards the cab as people nearby watch the confrontation.
The incident has triggered reactions on social media, with users raising concerns over dangerous driving and road safety. Some eyewitnesses claimed that the men in the Thar appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. This aspect, however, would need to be established by the police investigation.
Cab Driver Approaches Police
Following the incident, the cab driver reportedly approached the Kherki Daula police station and filed a complaint.
Police officials reached the location after receiving information, but the accused driver and his companion had reportedly left the area by then.
The police have started investigating the matter and are working to identify the people involved.
According to the information provided by the police, the Thar involved in the incident carries a Delhi registration number. Investigators are expected to use the vehicle’s registration details to trace its owner and identify the person allegedly driving it.
