Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay on Friday claimed that he was blamed for the Karur stampede that killed 41 people.
Addressing a gathering on Friday, he said, “They pinned the blame on me for the Karur incident. I entered politics for the sake of the people. I must put a permanent end to it. The opposition walked out of the Legislative Assembly the moment the term ‘Party Fund’ was mentioned.

There is corruption worth crores in every department. People say that there is no bribery or corruption in government offices nowadays. The election promise to present a ring on behalf of the maternal uncle on Arignar Anna’s birthday will be fulfilled.”
He claimed that the cops could have alerted about the situation and he would have cancelled the TVK rally as the party had done with the Perambalur meeting.
Delimitation exercise, harming state’s interests will not be accepted by Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister added.
At Karur, the CM slamsmed DMK leaders V Senthilbalaji and EV Velu without directly naming them.
