Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade on Saturday, August 8, marking Zelenskiy’s first visit to Serbia and the first visit by a Ukrainian president to the country since 2018.
The meeting comes as Serbia continues to balance its traditionally close ties with Russia with its efforts to strengthen relations with the European Union and maintain diplomatic engagement with Ukraine.
