The meeting celebrated the achievements of Indian athletes, coaches and support staff who had participated in various sports during the 2026 Asian Games, which took place between September 19 and October 4.
Though the number of medals won by India is lower than that of its record-winning 106 medals won in the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, the 2026 performance is India’s second-best medal performance at the tournament so far. India also retains its place among Asia’s top five nations in sport.
