This comes hours after Sonam Wangchuk ends his fast at midnight of July 24. The action marks one of the biggest internal shake-ups at the agency and signals the government’s push to improve transparency, accountability and the conduct of national-level examinations.
Sources in the Education Ministry said more reforms are expected in the coming weeks as the government works towards making the examination process more secure and reliable.
47 Officials Removed From NTA
According to the sources, apart from the removal disciplinary proceedings are also likely to be initiated against some of the officials. The move is aimed at fixing accountability within the organisation and strengthening internal oversight.
It is being told by the sources that the changes will be implemented in line with the recommendations of an expert committee that was set up to review the functioning of the NTA. More announcements regarding the implementation of these recommendations are expected in the coming weeks.

The government in its latest actions focus to rebuild public confidence in the competitive exams that are being conducted.
