Actor Chandrachur Singh has made an FIR against his aunt, two cousins, and four other people for apparently manipulating the last will of his grandfather to deny his father a share in the family legacy.

Actor Chandrachur Singh filed an FIR in Aligarh accusing his aunt, cousins, and others of forging his grandfather’s 1997 will to deny his father, Captain Baldev Singh, a share of the family legacy, prompting a police inquiry.

The FIR has been filed in Rorawar police station, Aligarh on Friday, PTI reported. An inquiry into the matter has been initiated by the police.

What Is Chandrachur Singh’s Allegation?

In his complaint, Chandrachur alleged that the signature of his grandfather, Thakur Harender Pal Singh, was forged on a will in 1997.
Harender Pal Singh was a prominent landowner from Jalalpur village on the outskirts of Aligarh.

According to the actor, his grandfather was critically ill at the time and was allegedly not in a condition to sign legal documents.

Chandrachur has accused his uncle Ganga Singh and other family members of allegedly forging the signature and using the disputed will to deny his father, Captain Baldev Singh, his rightful inheritance.

Actor Claims Father Was Not In Aligarh

In addition, Chandrachur claimed that his father was not present in Aligarh at the time when the will was made.

He also said in his claim that his other uncle, Puniya Pratap Singh, was dead before Harender Pal Singh.
Questions have been raised by the actor about the conditions in which the will was written.

Properties Allegedly Sold Over The Years

According to Chandrachur’s complaint, a significant portion of the valuable properties inherited under the disputed will was later sold over the years.

The actor told reporters on Friday evening that he had gathered what he believes is sufficient evidence to support his allegations.
He also said that after registering the FIR, he recorded his statement before the police as part of the investigation.

Aunt Had Earlier Denied Allegations

The family dispute had come into the public domain last year.
Chandrachur’s aunt Gaytri Devi, who has now been named in the FIR, had previously rejected the allegations and called them false.

She had also accused the actor of attempting to falsely implicate her and maintained that the will was genuine.

The latest FIR has now brought the long-running family dispute back into focus.

Who Was Chandrachur Singh’s Father?

Chandrachur Singh’s late father, Captain Baldev Singh, was a former Congress MLA from Aligarh city. The actor has claimed that his father’s inheritance rights were affected by the disputed will. The allegations are now subject to police investigation, and the FIR itself does not establish that the accused committed the alleged offences.
