Amravati: The ‘Vadnagar to Varanasi Seva Sankalp Yatra’, organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) with the objective of taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of service and rural development to people, reached Mozhari in Amravati district.
The Seva Sankalp Yatra, promoting PM Modi’s rural development vision, received a grand welcome at Gurukunj Ashram, Amravati. Organised by BJYM, the yatra featured tree plantations, felicitation of sanitation workers, and educational material distribution, emphasizing public participation and social welfare. The yatra was welcomed at Gurukunj Ashram, the karmabhoomi of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, in the presence of BJP Maharashtra president Ravindra Chavan. On the occasion, Chavan paid his respects at the samadhi and gadi of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj and also welcomed the office-bearers and workers accompanying the yatra.
The programme at Gurukunj Ashram began with a tree plantation drive. This was followed by the felicitation of sanitation workers and distribution of educational material among students. According to the organisers, the activities were aimed at conveying the message of service, social welfare and rural development through practical initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, Ravindra Chavan said Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, through his writings and social work, placed before society the idea of village development through public participation. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking this idea forward and called upon people to actively work towards ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society.
Several BJP and BJYM office-bearers and workers were present at the programme, including BJP Maharashtra general secretary and MLA Dr Sanjay Kute, MP Dr Anil Bonde, BJYM president Krishnaraj Mahadik, BJP Amravati Rural Morshi district president and MLA Pratap Adsad, MLA Rajesh Wankhade, MLA Chandu Yawalkar, BJP Amravati Rural Melghat district president Prabhudas Bhilavekar and Amravati city district president Dr Nitin Dhande. BJYM Amravati Rural Morshi district president Sachin Ingle, Nitin Gudhade, Aarti Wankhade, Jayant Dehankar, Kiran Paturkar, Badal Kulkarni, Chetan Gawande, Dr Sangeeta Shinde and Chandrashekhar Bhoyar, among others, also participated in the programme.
