Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday celebrated 25 years as head of a government by giving Indians a new slogan – ‘We will do it.’
Speaking at an electoral rally at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium here, Mr. Modi repeatedly urged the gathering to echo the exhortation, which drew thunderous applause from the crowd.
On October 7th, marking 25 years as head of government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the slogan ‘We will do it’ and set three ambitious national goals during a rally.
The Prime Minister also laid out three ambitious goals for the country, using his 25th anniversary as Prime Minister to pivot from his innings to focus on the challenges and aspirations ahead.

October 7th has a special place in Modi’s political career as he was sworn in as Gujarat Chief Minister for the first time on this day in 2001 after Keshubhai Patel and went on to become Prime Minister in 2014.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said today was not a day to look back as it was a day ‘to fill our resolve with fresh vigour.’
‘Let us pledge our renewed commitment to the nation,’ he said, followed by the slogan ‘We will do it! We will do it! We will do it!’ the slogan being received by the crowd as the most enthusiastic applause.
PM Modi spoke about his three targets during his speech as the Prime Minister wanted to use this 25th anniversary as a beginning of a new mission.
