Officials said the complaint accused Sharma of fraud, extortion, and trying to defame the institution. The complaint was lodged on Thursday at Govind Nagar police station in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

The complaint was filed a day after Falahari Maharaj wrote to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In the letter, Falahari Maharaj sought a CBI inquiry. The request related to alleged mismanagement of donations by Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan.
Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan complaint details
In the written complaint, Anurag Pathak named the Govind Nagar SHO as the recipient. Pathak works as deputy manager of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan. Pathak alleged that Dinesh Sharma is also known as Dinesh Falahari Maharaj and Falahari Baba. Pathak also alleged Sharma has a criminal background and faces fraud-linked cases.
Pathak claimed Sharma set up a trust called Shri Krishna Janmabhumi Sangharsh Nyas. The complaint said the name looked similar to registered Shri Krishna Janmasthan-related trusts. Pathak alleged this was done to confuse devotees and donors. The complaint also alleged Sharma collected donations through this trust.
Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan allegations of donations misuse
According to the complaint, the collected donations were misused for personal benefit. The Sansthan also alleged that objections to these actions triggered threats. The complaint claimed Sharma believed the pushback was driven by Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan. It alleged threats were conveyed through Sharma’s associates.
The complaint further alleged the associates warned about filing false cases against the Sansthan. It also alleged an extortion demand of Rs 20 lakh was made. The complaint said the associates threatened to defame the institution. It said social media and the media would be used if money was not paid.
“When we did not accept his demands, he started levelling false allegations against the Sansthan in an attempt to force us to pay money,\” Pathak alleged in the complaint.
Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan police action and response
Vijay Bahadur Singh, Public Relations Officer of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan, said police were informed. Singh said an investigation is underway. Police said, \”A probe is on in the matter. FIR will be registered following the probe findings,\”
There was no immediate response from Dinesh Falahari Maharaj on the allegations. Officials said the matter remains under police review. The next step depends on what the probe finds. Police are expected to decide on filing an FIR after that process ends.
