The Jamui incident is still afresh and here another molestation video goes viral where a teenage girl from Bihar’s Samastipur is harassed. The latest incident has led to the arrest of four people, after a video showing a group of men surrounding and allegedly harassing a teenage girl and a young man surfaced on social media.
Four individuals were arrested in Samastipur, Bihar, following the viral circulation of a video depicting the alleged harassment of a teenage girl by a group of men near Jagat Singh Bandh Bypass; police are seeking two additional suspects.
What Happened?
According to reports, the incident took place near the Jagat Singh Bandh Bypass in the Karpuri Gram police station area of Samastipur.
The teenage girl was reportedly with a male friend when a group of men approached them.
A video that later surfaced online allegedly shows several men surrounding the two. Some of the men can be seen holding the girl by her arms while she appears to struggle to get away. The group is also allegedly heard making inappropriate remarks and gestures.
The footage surfaced on social media on Wednesday evening, following which police took action.

Four people have since been arrested in connection with the case. Police are also searching for two other suspects, identified in reports as Devansh Sharma and Rahul Kumar.
Authorities have also warned against circulating videos of the alleged incident, particularly where the identity of a minor victim could be exposed.
The arrests came after the video drew attention online.
Jamui Incident Had Triggered Nationwide Outrage
On September 19, a teenage boy and girl in Jamui were allegedly stopped by a group of men while returning from the area around Mawara Hill.
According to police, the two teenagers were intercepted and allegedly harassed and assaulted. Videos of the incident later surfaced on social media, triggering widespread outrage.
Police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and formed a Special Investigation Team to identify the suspects.
The investigation subsequently led to the arrest of five accused, including the alleged main accused Nandan Yadav, according to police. Two of the accused were arrested after a police operation in which one suffered a gunshot injury and another was injured while attempting to flee, police said.
