National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has recently opened up about Operation Sindoor and how Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted after 22 April 2025 Pahalgam Terror Attack. In a documentary on Discover, Ajit Doval said PM Modi’s first priority was to find who was behind this attack and who are responsible.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval revealed PM Modi’s immediate priority after the 22 April 2025 Pahalgam attack was identifying perpetrators. India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May 2025, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Doval Recalls Modi’s First Question

While speaking in the docuseries, Declassified: Operation Sindoor, Ajit Doval revealed meeting PM Modi after he returned from Saudi Arabia due to Pahalgam Terror attack that killed 26 people.

“The prime minister returned. The foreign secretary had come to receive him. Then, at the airport itself, we had a meeting. First, he wanted to know all the facts,” Doval said.

He also said that PM Modi wanted clarity on the perpetrators. “And then his first question to me was — ‘Who has done it? Who is responsible? We should be very clear who the perpetrators are. I want it immediately,” he said.

Why India Launched Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor started on 7 May 2025, when India targeted 9 terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The government said clearly that they targeted terrorist infrastructure and they didn’t target Pakistan military facilities in the opening phase.

Ajit Doval said that the main object was to destroy terrorist camps and sends a message that support for terrorist groups will continue consequences.

What The New Docuseries Reveals

While narrating the further incidents, Doval said, “Once anything starts, we are willing to go as far as it is necessary for a nation to preserve its sovereignty, and there are no limits on that. We fight till the last drop of blood.”

Declassified: Operation Sindoor is a two-part series that narrates the story from senior military and national security officials about operation Sindoor. It starts premiering 15 August at 9 PM.
