A human resources (HR) manager working for a food and beverage service company at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a 26 year old woman employee, police said on Monday.
According to the FIR, the woman joined the company’s customer service department at the airport in May this year. She alleged that the HR manager repeatedly interfered in her personal life, restricted her interactions with others and violated her privacy, PTI reported.
Police registered a case against an HR manager at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport for allegedly sexually harassing a 26-year-old employee, involving stalking and privacy violations, under Sections 78(2) and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The woman told police that the HR manager would take her mobile phone and check its contents. She also alleged that he stopped her from speaking to other people and insisted that she show him the tattoo on her chest.
According to the complaint, the alleged harassment and invasion of her privacy began on September 24.
The FIR states that an incident took place on September 30, when the HR manager allegedly called the woman into a room at her workplace.
The accused allegedly removed his clothes and exposed his private parts while pressuring the woman to do the same. The woman told police that she left the room following the incident.
She later shared what had happened with her friends and sought their advice before approaching the police, according to the FIR.
The woman later filed a complaint at the Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) police station. Police registered a case against the HR manager under Sections 78(2) and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Section 78(2) deals with stalking, while Section 79 covers words, gestures or acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman.
Police have issued a notice to the accused and recorded his statement in connection with the case. Further investigation is underway, officials said.
