In a domestic dispute between a couple in Bengaluru allegedly turned violent on Wednesday after both husband and wife found dead at their residence the next morning.
In Bengaluru, civil engineer Sumant Jain and software engineer Padmavathi were found dead in their residence after an alleged domestic dispute on Wednesday night, prompting police investigation into the cause and sequence of events.

Argument Between Couple Turns Violent

When he later tried to wake his wife, he reportedly realised that she was no longer breathing. The exact circumstances leading to Padmavathi’s death will be established through the ongoing investigation and other evidence.
Husband Allegedly Calls Mother After Incident
Following the incident, Sumant reportedly contacted his mother in a state of panic and told her what had happened. He also allegedly sent her a message.
After seeing the message, his mother contacted the couple’s landlord and asked for the house to be checked.
When the residence was opened, Sumant was reportedly found hanging from a ceiling fan in the hall. Padmavathi was also found dead inside the house.
Police Begin Investigation
The Rajagopal Nagar Police were informed about the incident and reached the residence.
A case has been registered, and investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding both deaths.
Police are also looking into the couple’s movements before the incident, their communications and other available evidence to establish what happened inside the house.
