Lokesh Kanagaraj, the creator of blockbuster movies such as Kaithi, Master and Cooli, has made his debut as a hero with DC which has hit the screens on Friday (August 7). Arun Matheswaran of Captain Miller fame has written and directed the flick, bankrolled by leading production house Sun Pictures.
Kanagaraj had earlier appeared in guest roles in Master, Singapore Saloon, Malayalam film Kattalan and Jana Nayagan. He has now taken his acting career one step ahead with DC, a romantic action movie.

Wamiqa Gabbi plays the female lead in DC which also has Sanjana Krishnamoorthy and Avinash Raghudevan in the cast. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music, Mukesh G has handled the cinematography department and GK Prasanna the editing department. Kannan S is the art director, PC Stunts is the action choreographer and Perumal Selvam is the costumer.
The Tamil film has managed to garner a lot of hype with its trailer and promos. As Lokesh is a top director in Kollywood, the fans are eagerly awaiting to see whether the movie will live up to the expectations and make him a bankable star.
