Ethika Insurance Broking crosses 4,000 Google reviews at a 4.9 rating. Many of the reviews name the claims specialist who handled the claim, a pattern Ethika credits to one choice: every claim goes to its own team first. Hyderabad, Telangana, 23 September 2026: Ethika Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd, the bootstrapped, IRDAI licensed employee benefits broker, has crossed 4,000 reviews on Google with a rating of 4.9 out of 5.
Plenty of those reviews name the person who handled the claim. Venkat, Amit, Sumanth and Bhanu, members of Red Carpet, Ethika’s in house claims team, come up again and again. The moments people write about tend to be the hard ones: a cashless approval needed on a weekend, a discharge being arranged late at night, a claim that came back reduced and was taken back to the insurer in writing.

“A rating means nothing to us as a number. What it represents does,” said Susheel Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Ethika Insurance Broking. “Behind almost every one of those reviews is a family in a hospital and a person from our team who stayed on the line with them. We built Ethika on a simple belief: help people rise, and protect them when they fall. We can’t promise anyone how a claim will end. We can promise the fight, and that no one faces it alone. The reviews are our clients telling us, in public, that we kept that part of the promise.”
The model behind the rating
Ethika attributes the feedback to one structural choice. Every claim reaches Ethika’s own claims team first, before the insurer or the TPA sees the file, so gaps and missing documents are caught on the client’s side of the table. If a claim comes back denied or reduced, a specialist reads the policy line by line and escalates in writing, as far as the policy’s own words allow. Under IRDAI regulations, a broker’s duty is to the client, and Ethika has built its model around that single line of accountability.

Ten years licensed, no outside money
Susheel Agarwal founded Ethika in Hyderabad in 2015 with cofounders Sarath Reddy and Sandeep Mukka, and the company received its IRDAI broking licence on 8 August 2016. It has been bootstrapped from day one and profitable from year one, with no insurer above it and no investor behind it.
The milestone follows a year of recognition for the company, including Special Jury Recognition for Claims Excellence at the India InsurTech Summit 2026, Great Place to Work Certified 2026, and the Indian Chamber of Commerce award for Best Innovations Led by Technology & Insurtech at the 6th Emerging Asia Insurance Conclave, Thailand, February 2026. Ethika has also been recognised by its insurer partners, with the ICICI Lombard CEO Elite Club award in Lisbon in 2026 and Digit Insurance’s CEO’s Elite Club award at Lakshya ’26.
