In a shocking incident, a minor girl was detained after 10 live bullet cartridges, a fake Aadhaar card and cash was recovered from her during a security check at the Gonda Divisional Jail in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The girl reportedly arrived to meet an inmate who is believed to be her lover.

A minor girl was detained at Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda Divisional Jail on Thursday carrying 10 live cartridges and a fake Aadhaar card, reportedly to meet inmate Harshu Kashyap, claiming the bullets were from her father’s licensed pistol.
According to jail authorities, the girl arrived at the divisional jail along with another man to meet an inmate identified as Harshu Kashyap.
It was amid the mandatory security check, officials noticed the things that she carried.
Girl Claims Cartridges Belonged to Father’s Licensed Pistol
During questioning, the girl reportedly disclosed her real identity and claimed that the cartridges belonged to her father’s licensed pistol. According to police, she said her father has a short temper and feared he might take an extreme step if he discovered she had gone to meet her jailed lover.
She claimed that she removed the cartridges from the licensed firearm before leaving home and carried them with her.
An FIR has been registered in connection with the incident, and further investigation is underway. Officials are examining the purpose behind carrying the live cartridges, the use of the alleged fake Aadhaar card, and whether any other offences were committed.
