UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s home turn and also his constituency place Gorakhpur is going to receive a major boost as CM have inaugurated development projects of worth 995 Crore Rupees on Wednesday. The project will be the first 2.6 KM six-lane flyover for Gorakhpur city. This flyover will reduce traffic congestion and improve the connectivity of the eastern UP.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated development projects worth ₹995 crore in Gorakhpur, including the city’s first 2.6 km, six-lane flyover costing ₹429.49 crore, aimed at reducing traffic and improving connectivity.
Gorakhpur’s First Six-Lane Flyover to Improve Connectivity
The even took place near the newly built six-lane flyover on the TP Nagar-Padleganj route. During the programme, CM Yogi inaugurated projects worth 813.52 crore rupees and also launched 10 new projects that has been valued around 181.77 crore.
The flyover which has been built in the budget of 429.49 crores, the flyover connects Deoria Bypass Junction and is supposed to make travel easy for people travelling to Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Kushinagar, Deoria, Maharajganj, Bihar and Nepal. The flyover will reduce the travel time and also improve the moment of commercial and passenger vehicles.
Road, Airport and Police Infrastructure Among Key Projects
CM also inaugurated a four lane road from Padleganj Chowk to Firaq Gorakhpuri Chowk that completed at the cost of 277.77 crores. CM inaugurated relocation of MES office from Air Force station campus to extend the facilities of Gorakhpur Airport Terminal.
Other projects like 48-capacity hostel, barracks and an investigation room at Gulriha Police Station, also will be inaugurated in the programme which are already completed.
New Projects Focus on Women, Education and Smart City Development
CM has also announced 10 new projects that includes an underpass and service road between Nandanagar Police Chowki and Shamsher Gate that will increase the rail crossing connectivity. Also a working women hostel which is government’s scheme of women empowerment, and a science museum near Gorakhpur University Chowk which will lead the next step towards making Gorakhpur smart city.
The list of projects also include Centre of Excellence at the Government Women’s Polytechnic that is being made with the collaboration of Tata. Also some of wards, drainage, and civic work for the city.
