Police registered an FIR after a shoe store salesman in Gurugram went missing in suspicious circumstances. The family suspected kidnapping after getting calls from the missing person’s mobile number. Callers gave conflicting claims about an accident and hospital admission. Investigators started checking call records and mobile tower location to trace the salesman.

Police in Gurugram have registered an FIR after a shoe store salesman, Krishna Chandra Jana, went missing from Sector 14. His family suspects kidnapping, citing calls from his mobile with changing claims about an accident and hospital admission. Investigators are reviewing call records and mobile tower locations to trace him.

Officials said the case was filed at the Sector 14 police station. The complaint came from Pratap Kumar Jana, a resident of Odisha’s Bhadrak district. Pratap Kumar Jana reported that younger brother Krishna Chandra Jana worked at the Woodland showroom in Sector 14. Krishna Chandra Jana had worked there for three years and lived nearby on rent.

Gurugram missing salesman case: calls from mobile raise suspicion

The complaint said Krishna Chandra Jana left the showroom at 9:30 pm on May 30. Krishna Chandra Jana had finished duty and went out from the store. After that time, Krishna Chandra Jana’s mobile phone went off, the family told police. The family said the sudden switch-off added to concern about Krishna Chandra Jana’s safety.

The next morning, the family received a call that appeared to come from Krishna Chandra Jana’s number. The complaint stated: “At 9:30 am on May 31, a call came to our home from Krishnas mobile.\” The caller was unknown to the family. The caller claimed Krishna Chandra Jana had met with an accident on MG Road in Gurugram.

Gurugram missing salesman inquiry: family checks hospitals

After the accident claim, the family searched for Krishna Chandra Jana at local hospitals. The complaint said the family checked Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. The family also went to the civil hospital in Sector 10. Krishna Chandra Jana was not listed as admitted at either facility, according to the complaint.

The family said another call came later with a different location and hospital name. The complaint stated: \”Later, around 2:00 pm on the same night, someone called again to inform the family that Krishna had been admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad.\” The family contacted the hospital but did not find Krishna Chandra Jana in records.

Gurugram missing salesman probe: police review CCTV and call details

After the hospital checks failed, the family approached police to report the disappearance. Police said the FIR was registered and the tracing process began. Investigators started working to locate Krishna Chandra Jana’s phone. Police also began reviewing call details to identify who contacted the family.

Police said technical checks and local surveillance were underway in Sector 14. Sector 14 Station House Officer Chandrabhan said: \”An FIR has been registered in this connection and police have initiated the process of tracing Krishnas mobile location and examining his call details. Nearby CCTV footage is also being examined to determine the direction he went after leaving the showroom,\” Chandrabhan said. The investigation continued.
