The case was registered by the Banjara Hills Police, with details of the incident coming to light on June 14.

Banjara Hills Police booked Hyderabad casting director Prasad for alleged cheating (BNS 318(4)) and sexual harassment (BNS 75) based on a 21-year-old actress’s complaint citing Rs 1.28 lakh non-payment and an attempted assault on February 18.
Actress Claims Payments Were Never Made
According to the complaint, the accused, identified as Prasad, allegedly offered the young woman a role in a film project and assured her of payment for her work. However, after she completed her assignments, the promised remuneration allegedly did not materialise.

She alleged that Prasad failed to pay her Rs 90,000 in remuneration along with Rs 38,000 towards travel expenses.
Alleged Assault During February Meeting
The complaint further states that on February 18 this year, Prasad contacted the actress and asked her to meet him. During the meeting, he allegedly forced her into his car and attempted to sexually assault her.
The actress alleged that the casting director told her he would provide opportunities in other films only if she fulfilled his demands. She later managed to escape from the situation, according to the complaint.
