India Today-CVoter Opinion Poll has projected a clear advantage for the BJP-led NDA if Lok Sabha elections were held today, with the alliance likely to win 326 seats, compared with 185 seats for the INDIA bloc.
The survey projects the BJP at 261 seats and the Congress at 106 seats. In terms of vote share, the NDA is expected to get 45.1%, while the INDIA bloc is projected at 39.1%.
An India Today-CVoter Opinion Poll projects the BJP-led NDA winning 326 Lok Sabha seats with 45.1% vote share, ahead of the INDIA bloc’s 185 seats and 39.1%, forecasting 261 seats for the BJP and 106 for Congress.
The NDA’s 326-seat projection is lower than the 352 seats predicted in the January survey. However, it remains comfortably above the 272-seat majority mark in the Lok Sabha.
The saffron party is projected to emerge as the largest individual party with 261 seats.
While this is 26 seats fewer than the 287 projected in January, it is still above the 240 seats the BJP won in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The numbers also underline the importance of the BJP’s allies. With 261 seats, the party would fall short of a majority on its own, but the NDA’s combined tally of 326 would give the alliance a comfortable majority.
The Congress has recorded a notable improvement in the latest projection.
The Grand old party is expected to win 106 seats, compared with 80 in the January survey. The figure is also higher than the 97 seats projected for the Congress in August 2025.
It must be noted that the Congress won 99 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, meaning the latest projection puts it seven seats above its actual 2024 tally.
Vote share:
The NDA is projected to secure 45.1% of the vote, down from 47% in January.
The INDIA bloc is estimated to receive 39.1%, almost unchanged from the 39% projected in the previous survey.
Despite the dip, the NDA’s projected vote share is still above the 44% it received in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The difference between the two alliances is reflected more sharply in the seat projections, with the NDA holding a 141-seat advantage over the INDIA bloc.
The biggest change in the latest India Today-CVoter Opinion Poll is the fall in the NDA’s projected strength.
In January, the alliance was projected to win 352 seats. That number has now dropped to 326.
The BJP’s projection has fallen by the same 26 seats, from 287 to 261. The Congress, meanwhile, has gained 26 seats, moving from 80 to 106.
However, the INDIA bloc’s overall projection has increased by only three seats, from 182 to 185.
