Iris Software has launched a new initiative to promote mental health and emotional wellbeing among school students in Noida and the wider Delhi-NCR region. The programme, called the Iris Young Minds Initiative, aims to reach 4,000 students through sessions on stress management, emotional intelligence, relationships and inclusion.

Announced October 14, 2026, Iris Software launched the Iris Young Minds Initiative to promote mental health for 4,000 students in Noida and Delhi-NCR through sessions on stress management and emotional intelligence, in partnership with the Pragyata Foundation.

Announced on October 14, 2026, the initiative is part of the technology services company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. It brings together government and private schools to give students a platform to discuss the emotional and social challenges they face during their school years.

The programme is being implemented in partnership with the Pragyata Foundation, an NGO that works in mental wellness and life skills. Experienced clinical psychologists are conducting the sessions, which focus on helping students understand their emotions and develop practical ways to deal with everyday pressures.

What Is The Iris Young Minds Initiative?

The Iris Young Minds Initiative focuses on building emotional resilience and making conversations about mental health more accessible to school students.

The programme covers four key areas: emotional intelligence, managing emotions and relationships, gender sensitivity and inclusion, and stress management.

These sessions aim to help students recognise their feelings, understand how emotions affect their behaviour and develop healthier ways to respond to difficult situations. The programme also addresses relationships and inclusion, encouraging students to understand different perspectives and interact respectfully with others.

Which Schools Are Participating In The Programme?

The first sessions have already been conducted at Mahamaya Balika Inter College and Ryan International School in Noida.

The programme is expected to expand to BLS World School and Bodhi Taru International School as the initiative reaches more students.

Iris Software Says Its Responsibility Extends Beyond The Workplace

Sharad Verma, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Iris Software, said the company’s commitment to people also includes supporting young people during their formative years.

He said the Iris Young Minds Initiative aims to help students manage the pressures they face, encourage open discussions about mental wellbeing and create a sustained platform for young minds.

The company believes that students should have opportunities to discuss stress and emotional challenges before these concerns become more difficult to manage.

Why Early Mental Health Conversations Matter

The partnership with Pragyata Foundation focuses on introducing conversations about emotions and wellbeing at an early age.

Mamta Yadav, Founder and Chairperson of Pragyata Foundation, said early discussions about stress and wellbeing can help young people deal with challenges in healthier ways. She also welcomed the partnership with Iris Software to extend these conversations to more students across Delhi-NCR.

The initiative covers more than academic pressure. Its focus on emotional intelligence, relationships, gender sensitivity and inclusion also aims to help students better understand themselves and the people around them.

Teacher Training And Parent Sessions May Follow

The organisers plan to use feedback and learnings from the initial sessions to decide how the initiative should develop.

Future plans could include expanding the programme to more schools, as well as introducing teacher-training sessions and parent orientation programmes. However, these additions are still under consideration and have not been confirmed as part of the current rollout.

Involving teachers and parents could help extend discussions about emotional wellbeing beyond classroom sessions and into students’ daily lives.

Iris Software provides technology and business transformation services, including engineering and AI-powered solutions, to enterprises and Fortune 500 clients. The company employs more than 4,300 professionals globally.

Pragyata Foundation works in areas including mental health awareness, education, skill development, women’s empowerment and community wellbeing.
