The Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of India, H.E. Mr. Meshal Mustafa AlShemali, received Kuwait’s “Cloud of Hope” volunteer team, which is visiting the Republic of India as part of a humanitarian trip focused on healthcare, educational support, and community empowerment, with the participation of 30 volunteers from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
Kuwait’s Ambassador H.E. Mr. Meshal Mustafa AlShemali lauded the Cloud of Hope volunteer team’s humanitarian trip to India, where 30 participants from Gulf nations provided healthcare and educational support to hundreds.
H.E. Mr. AlShemali commended the humanitarian, charitable, and voluntary works undertaken by the young men and women of the State of Kuwait and other Gulf countries, emphasizing that these initiatives reflect the authentic values deeply rooted in Gulf societies.
He described these efforts as a shining example of social awareness and responsibility, noting their important role in strengthening the presence and contribution of Gulf youth in the field of international humanitarian action.
The Ambassador noted that charitable and humanitarian work is an intrinsic trait deeply ingrained in the people of Kuwait since ancient times. Their benevolent hands have reached the farthest corners of the world, responding to those in need and less fortune, and extending assistance to all without discrimination.
He added that Kuwaiti society is guided by an enduring spirit of goodness and generosity, rooted in a firm belief in the values of mutual support, compassion, and human solidarity.
The delegation comprised a distinguished group of physicians, engineers, academics, educators, and specialists who carried out a range of health, educational, and relief initiatives, benefiting hundreds of children, families, and members of the local community.
The trip activities included organizing a voluntary medical day that benefited approximately 400 people through medical check-ups, consultations, and health awareness, as well as distributing hundreds of school bags, school supplies, food items, and basic needs to the most vulnerable communities.
The team also organized educational and sports programs, as well as interactive activities for children and students, aimed at fostering self-confidence, teamwork, and positive competition, while providing sports equipment to ensure these activities could continue after the visit concluded.
The trip builds on the “Cloud of Hope” team’s longstanding record of international humanitarian work, and reflects the ability of Gulf youth to set an exemplary model of cross-border volunteerism. Spanning three countries, involving thirty volunteers, and reaching hundreds of beneficiaries, the initiative brought all participants together around a single message that “Hope is a universal human language understood by all”.
