Kalindi Kunj has been one of the most busiest traffic route for people connecting Delhi, Noida and Faridabad. After the long social media trolling and discussions over the traffic volumes in the area, NHAI National Highways Authority of India has now approved two new flyovers in the area. This infrastructure has planned to aim remove traffic from the area by making signal-free.
NHAI has approved two new loop flyovers at the busy Kalindi Kunj junction, connecting Delhi, Noida, and Faridabad, to enable signal-free traffic movement towards the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Okhla Barrage Road.
How Will The Two Kalindi Kunj Flyovers Work?
The new plan has involved two loop flyovers that are designed to handle traffic movements without forcing vehicles to come to existing signal junction.
The first flyover has planned to vehicles that are coming from Noida via Kalindi Kunj bridge to directly move towards Faridabad and Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The second flyover will carry traffic from Faridabad and expressway to Noida by connecting to Okhla Barrage Road.
The current junction will continue to work by widening and other improvements planned to help local traffic. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) has already planned, although the official construction and competition time have not been confirmed yet.
Why Is Kalindi Kunj Facing Heavy Congestion?
The Kalindi Kunj flyover handles traffic from many important directions, including Noida, Faridabad, Okhla and Sarita Vihar. Now when Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has added more traffic pressure because it allows vehicles from Faridabad coming directly to the area.
The flyovers are there for not only for daily commuters but also for widening the road network linking Delhi with key NCR employment and residential locals.
Could Property Prices And Rents Rise?
Now better roads will also connectivity nearby neighbourhoods that will attract the property rates and homebuyers in the areas. According to some real estate experts these areas including Jasola, Shaheen Bagh, Kalindi Kunj, Madanpur Khader, Sarita Vihar, Okhla and parts of Noida and Faridabad to get benefit from these flyovers.
However, it is more important for the vehicles that are travelling from the route and commuters who face big traffic challenges to their daily life.
