According to the agency, organised cheating rackets are using students’ anxiety and examination-related stress to spread misinformation and extort money.
The NTA said such groups often claim to have access to confidential examination papers and attempt to sell fake material to candidates and their families.
Officials stressed that every claim regarding the sale, leak, or advance access to the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination paper is fabricated and has no connection to the actual examination process.

NTA Assures Exam Security

The agency urged students not to be influenced by rumours circulating online and assured candidates that the examination process is being conducted under established security measures.

In addition to reporting the content, the NTA said it is filing formal complaints with law enforcement agencies and cyber-crime authorities.

Those found attempting to defraud students through false promises of leaked papers or examination material could face legal action under applicable laws.
