In a drastic situation witnessed at Dakshineswar Railway Station in West Bengal on Thursday morning after an overhead electric wire triggered loud sparks and flames near a train standing at the platform.

According to reports, the overhead electric cable on the down line of Dakshineswar Railway Station suddenly snapped while a train was stationed at the platform.
It is been told that as the wire broke, loud cracking sounds were heard and bright sparks erupted from the live cable. The sudden incident startled passengers waiting on the platform as well as those inside the train.

Railway Team Responds Quickly
The railway officials responded to the incident quickly, reached the station to assess the situation.
The damaged overhead wire was inspected, and repair work began immediately to restore normal operations. Railway personnel also ensured that passengers remained at a safe distance until the power supply was secured and the repairs were completed.
No Casualties Reported
It must be noted that, despite the dramatic scenes, no serious injuries were reported.
Since the train was already standing at the platform when the wire snapped, passengers were able to move away quickly after noticing the sparks. Railway authorities managed the situation before it could pose a greater risk to commuters.
