It is said that Rahul Gandhi was on stage when this act took place and was seen reacting to it. Video clips of this show went viral on social networking sites, thus resulting in political banter between BJP and Congress.

Invitations were made for Pulkit Mani to take part in the Chhatron Ki Goonj show where he was joined by Rahul Gandhi and some students.
In the course of performing his act, Mani mocked the manner in which PM Modi interacts when dealing with foreigners by using the phrase “my friend” many times.
On one occasion, Mani addressed Rahul Gandhi in the style of Modi after which Gandhi reacted by asking, “I am good, and how are you, Modi Ji?”
Mention was made of the foreign policy affairs of Modi, a coin game he played with some children, and the recent controversy at Galgotias University regarding the AI summit.
References made about an old woman and the Prime Minister’s deceased mother were the most controversial.
BJP Questions Rahul Gandhi’s Presence On Stage
The BJP strongly criticised the episode, particularly Gandhi’s presence during the performance.
The party alleged that the act crossed the line from political satire into personal remarks. BJP leaders also argued that an elderly woman and the Prime Minister’s mother should not have been brought into a political performance.
The BJP’s national social media account contrasted the comedian’s act with an earlier interaction between PM Modi and an elderly woman, arguing that the two incidents reflected different approaches to political conduct.
Several BJP leaders joined the criticism.
Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi accused Gandhi and Congress of showing a lack of sensitivity by allowing remarks involving Modi’s late mother. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also said political opponents could criticise one another but should not target someone’s mother.
BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan questioned Gandhi’s decision to remain on stage during the performance and accused the Congress of promoting what he described as an inappropriate political culture.
Why Did The Elderly Woman Reference Become A Major Issue?
The criticism of the BJP centered on the way the comedian mentioned an old lady with whom PM Modi had interacted earlier.
They claimed that she was being ridiculed by the comedian during his act, which made the issue even more controversial due to Gandhi’s response.
This case has resulted in several interpretations of political satire, with the leaders of the BJP considering those comments insulting, while Gandhi’s supporters seeing it as political satire against the Prime Minister.
