A non-local labourer was killed and another seriously injured after terrorists opened fire on them in Kellam area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir on Friday evening.
On Friday evening, terrorists shot non-local labourers in Kellam, Kulgam district, South Kashmir, killing one individual and seriously injuring another, reigniting safety concerns for migrant workers in the region.
Security forces have launched a massive search operation to trace those responsible for the attack.
Terrorists Open Fire on Non-Local Labourers
Officials state that two local labours were targeted by terrorists while they were in the Kellam area of Kulgam.

One of the victim, identified as Deepak- a resident of Chhatisgarh, was declared brought dead by doctors.
The second victim, Bhopinder, suffered serious injuries in the attack. He was later referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, for advanced medical treatment.
Victims Were Working in South Kashmir
The official said that the victims travelled from different states to Jammu and Kashmir every year for employment in construction, agriculture and other sectors.
The motive behind the attack has not yet been officially disclosed. Security agencies are investigating whether the workers were specifically identified before they were attacked.
Soon after the incident, police and security forces reached the area and sealed off the crime scene.
A cordon-and-search operation has been launched in and around Kellam to trace the attackers. Additional security personnel have also been deployed, and searches are continuing in nearby areas.
