A possible breakthrough in tensions between the United States and Iran could be announced within hours, according to reports by Al Arabiya.

US-Iran Peace Deal May Be Announced
US-Iran Peace Deal May Be Announced

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts have reportedly led to a potential US-Iran agreement soon, aiming for an immediate ceasefire, cessation of hostile media campaigns, and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to ease regional tensions.

Sources familiar with the discussions said a final draft of a possible agreement has been prepared and may soon be officially declared by both sides. The proposed deal is expected to include a complete ceasefire, protection of shipping routes in the region and the beginning of formal negotiations on unresolved issues.

The development comes after weeks of rising tensions and intensive diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan.

Ceasefire Likely To Be Key Part Of Agreement

According to reports, one of the central points of the proposed agreement is an immediate and unconditional ceasefire on all fronts.

Sources said both sides are expected to stop military operations and avoid targeting military bases, civilian areas and economic infrastructure.

The agreement would reportedly come into effect immediately after official announcements are made by Washington and Tehran.

Another important part of the draft focuses on ending hostile media campaigns and reducing inflammatory rhetoric between both countries.

Freedom Of Navigation In Strait Of Hormuz

The proposed agreement is also expected to include guarantees regarding freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes. Any disruption in the area can affect global oil supplies and international trade.

Ensuring safe movement of ships through the region has remained one of the biggest concerns for the international community during the recent tensions.

Pakistan Playing Major Role In Mediation

Pakistan has reportedly emerged as one of the main mediators between the United States and Iran. Reports claimed that Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Army chief, has been closely involved in backchannel diplomacy efforts aimed at reducing tensions between the two countries.

According to Al Arabiya, Asim Munir has now departed for Tehran after progress was reportedly made in negotiations.

Earlier, Syed Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran for another round of talks with Iranian officials. It was his second visit to Iran this week.

Iranian state media reportedly said Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts were focused on improving communication between both sides and creating a framework for peace.

Key Reported Points Of The Proposed Deal

Sources said the possible agreement may include several important commitments from both sides, including:

  • Immediate ceasefire on all fronts
  • No attacks on military, civilian or economic targets
  • Respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity
  • Non-interference in each other’s internal matters
  • Freedom of navigation in regional waterways
  • Formation of a joint mechanism to monitor implementation
  • Formal negotiations on unresolved issues within seven days
  • Gradual lifting of American sanctions in return for Iranian commitments

If finalised, the deal could become one of the most significant diplomatic developments in the region in recent years.

Signs Of Progress In Talks

There have already been signs suggesting that negotiations are moving forward.
Earlier this week, Marco Rubio said there were “some good signs” in the talks.

At the same time, a senior Iranian official reportedly told Reuters that the latest American proposal had helped narrow certain differences between the two sides.

Reports also claimed that during his earlier visit to Tehran, Syed Mohsin Naqvi had shared Washington’s latest proposal with Iranian authorities.

Why The Deal Matters

A successful agreement could significantly reduce tensions in the Middle East and lower fears of a wider regional conflict.

The recent confrontations between Iran, the United States and Israel had increased concerns about disruptions in oil trade, regional security and global economic stability.

Experts believe that if both countries officially accept the agreement, it could open the door for broader diplomatic discussions on sanctions, nuclear issues and regional security matters.

For now, the world is closely watching developments as expectations grow around a possible official announcement in the coming hours.
