At 15 years, 99 days old, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became India’s youngest international cricketer upon his T20I debut against England in Manchester, setting a new national record.

This young opener received his maiden India cap before the second T20I match against England in Manchester, which marked the start of a potentially brilliant career in international cricket.

Bihar Prodigy’s Dream Debut

The debut cap was presented to Vaibhav by Tilak Varma following an inspirational pep talk by the head coach, Gautam Gambhir. The young cricketer was hugged and congratulated by his teammates prior to the game.

Vaibhav was selected for the T20I series against Ireland as well as the opening match against England, but did not make it into the playing XI for these games. He got his dream debut in the second T20I match.

Stunning Ascent to Senior Team

The ascent of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to the national team has been truly sensational.
He rose to prominence through his fearless batting style in the Indian Premier League, where he impressed through his aggressive strokeplay.

As a result, he was included in the India A

This helped him even more on his way to prove his worth during India A tour.
In the finals of the tri-series match against Sri Lanka A team, Vaibhav became the fastest in making a List A half-century in only 11 balls.

His century bid came close to fruition when he scored 94 runs in 29 balls.

Soon after that performance, the selectors promoted him to the senior Indian team.
