Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan celebrated Raksha Bandhan 2026 in Manbela, where women beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana tied many Rakhis on his wrist, signifying trust and his responsibility towards women’s safety and empowerment.

While at Manbela, the women who have received the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana tied Rakhis to Ravi Kishan and prayed for his good health and happiness.
Ravi was thankful to the women for their love and blessings and felt that their love was something very precious to him.
For Ravi, this celebration meant more than just brother and sister, but it was something else too.

Ravi Kishan Connects Rakhi With Women’s Empowerment
Speaking about Raksha Bandhan, Ravi said the festival represents trust, respect and the promise of protection.
He said the Rakhis tied by the women reminded him of his responsibility towards their dignity, safety and empowerment.
The Gorakhpur MP also stressed that creating a safe and respectful environment for women should be a collective responsibility.
PM Awas Yojana And Women’s Security
Ravi also highlighted the importance of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, saying that having a permanent home means more than simply having a roof.
According to him, a secure home can provide families with a greater sense of stability, dignity and confidence. He particularly pointed to the impact that home ownership can have on women.
He said the happiness visible on the faces of women who had received homes reflected the impact of development at the grassroots level.
