Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav were detained by Delhi Police protesting alleged NEET-UG irregularities outside PM Modi’s residence, demanding Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
The agitation, led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has been ongoing since June 6. The group has been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and a transparent investigation into the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG examination.
Viral Video Of Akhilesh Yadav
Amid the protest, a video surfaced showing Samajwadi Party chief and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav interacting with Delhi Police personnel while being taken away.
In the video, Akhilesh is heard asking, “Kahan leke jaa rahe ho?” (Where are you taking us?) To this, a police officer replies, “Pata nahi sir, woh to sir batayenge.” (I don’t know, sir. The senior officers will tell us.)

Moments later, an unidentified voice from the background says, “Wahi jahan koi aata-jaata nahi.” (To a place where no one comes and goes.) The remark drew attention on social media after the video went viral.
According to media reports the detained politician was taken to Chhatrasal Stadium in North Delhi.
What Happened At The Protest Site?
According to the information, Congress leaders with other opposition leaders were staging a protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence. But the Delhi police forcefully detained the protesters from the protest site. It also included Akhilesh Yadav as he joined the demonstration in support of students.
Informing that this happened on the second day of Monsoon Session of Parliament after the house was adjourned till 11 am on July 22.
What Was The Protest About?
Rahul Gandhi along with other Congress leaders and opposition leaders sat on a protest against the brutal treatment of protesting students during “Sansad Chalo” march on Monday (July 20).
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) began its campaign to amplify the concerns of NEET aspirants who alleged irregularities in the medical entrance examination. The party says its movement is focused on ensuring a fair examination system and securing justice for students whose future has been affected by the controversy.
What started as a satirical initiative by Abhijeet Dipke has now grown into a nationwide movement, attracting over a million followers. The protest has gained further momentum with educationist and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is on the 23rd day of his hunger strike, lending his support to the campaign.
