Union Home Minister Amit Shah has attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a public meeting in Chandigarh on Sunday. He questioned Gandhi’s leadership and his ambition to become Prime Minister. Shah also predicted more election defeats for the Congress and spoke about the BJP’s plans for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Rahul Gandhi’s leadership and Prime Minister aspirations in Chandigarh, mocking his ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ slogan and predicting continued Congress election losses, while also detailing BJP’s 2027 Punjab election strategy and a 2029 drug-free goal for the state.
Amit Shah Mocks Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’
Shah took a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ slogan. He said the Congress leader talks about love but spreads hatred.
“Rahul ji, you will find nothing but hatred in your shop of love,” Shah said.
Shah Takes A Dig At Rahul Gandhi’s PM Dream
Shah also attacked Gandhi over his mock Parliament exercise. He said Gandhi wants to become Prime Minister and has started using new ways to fulfil his dream.
“Rahul Gandhi wants to become Prime Minister, and that is why he has found a new way by organising a mock Parliament. Rahul ji, you can continue to remain Prime Minister in your mock Parliament. Your dream of becoming the Prime Minister of the country, however, will not be fulfilled,” Shah said.
Amit Shah Predicts More Defeats For Congress
Shah also spoke about the Congress party’s performance in Delhi. He said the party has not won a single seat in the last three Delhi Assembly elections.
“Congress has failed to win even a single seat in Delhi in the last three elections. I say that it will not open its account in the next three elections either. Get ready to sit in the Opposition once again,” he said.
He also mentioned that some Delhi traders had reportedly asked the Congress not to hold its rally during the festive season.
BJP Begins Preparations For Punjab Elections 2027
Shah has also started focusing on the BJP’s plans for Punjab. The party wants to form its own government in the state instead of contesting as a junior partner in an alliance.
The drug problem in Punjab is another major issue for the BJP. Shah has promised to make Punjab and the entire country drug-free by December 31, 2029.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its first list of 40 candidates for the Punjab elections. The BJP is now preparing to take on both Congress and AAP in the state.
