In a tragic incident a five year old girl died in a road accident in Nagpur’s Manewada area after a speeding car hit her while she was out for a short walk after dinner. The victim has been identified as Kisha Gurnule. She had reportedly stepped out of her home with a neighbour when the accident took place near Badrinath Society in Mahakali Nagar.

In Nagpur’s Manewada area, five-year-old Kisha Gurnule died after being hit by a speeding car while crossing the street. The driver, Gaurav Malviya, surrendered to the police, who registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Motor Vehicles Act.
The incident was captured on a CCTV camera, with the footage showing the moments leading up to the fatal collision.
Child Hit While Crossing Road
As per the authorities, Kisha went out of her home with a neighbor post dinner time.
Video footage captured by CCTV cameras around the area revealed the girl walking along with the neighbor and then trying to walk across the street. It was claimed that the girl ran away from the neighbor and reached the street.
It was at that point when a speeding black car hit the child.
The accident left Kisha badly wounded. The locals of the area reportedly chased the car after the incident took place.
Five-Year-Old Declared Dead At Hospital
Kisha was immediately taken to a nearby hospital following the accident.
However, her injuries were severe and doctors declared her dead when she was brought to the hospital.
The incident has left the family and local residents shocked, with the CCTV footage highlighting the dangers posed by speeding vehicles in residential areas.
Driver Surrenders To Police
The driver of the car has been identified as Gaurav Malviya, a resident of Manewada.
Police said Malviya later surrendered to the authorities following the accident.
Kisha’s father had earlier approached the police and filed a complaint. Based on the complaint, Hudkeshwar Police registered a case against the accused driver under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicles Act.
Police Investigate Circumstances Of Crash
Police have launched an investigation into the accident and are examining the CCTV footage along with other evidence collected from the scene.
Investigators are looking into the speed of the vehicle, the circumstances in which the collision occurred and other factors that may have contributed to the girl’s death.
The case has once again raised concerns about speeding and road safety, particularly in residential neighbourhoods where children and pedestrians are frequently present.
Further investigation into the fatal accident is underway.
