Patna, October 10, 2026: Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) Managing Director Naveen Kumar, IAS, inspected the Patliputra Industrial Area on Saturday and reviewed infrastructure facilities, data centre operations and the activities of various industrial units. During the visit, he directed officials to take time-bound action on issues related to encroachments, unauthorised construction, sanitation, traffic management and infrastructure maintenance.

BIADA MD Inspects Patliputra Industrial Area

The inspection focused on ensuring better management of the industrial area, maintaining cleanliness and enforcing applicable rules. The Managing Director also reviewed the condition of roads and other civic facilities and instructed officials to address the issues identified during the visit within the stipulated timeframe.

BIADA Managing Director Naveen Kumar, IAS, inspected Patliputra Industrial Area to assess infrastructure, data centre operations, and facilities. He directed time-bound actions against encroachments, unauthorised construction, sanitation lapses, and parking issues, and ordered monitoring of construction compliance and road restoration to strengthen the investor-friendly environment in Bihar.

During the inspection, Naveen Kumar visited several industrial and commercial establishments, including Ravi Industry, Recon Engicon Pvt. Ltd., UNO Digital Pvt. Ltd., SLMG Beverage Pvt. Ltd., Prius System LLP, CtrlS, Ambe Infra Green LLP, Aeron Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Bihar Trade Tower, Vijayam Educational Trust, Maa Re Rolling Mill, Puja Printech Pvt. Ltd., Satya Enterprises, Eclet Industries Ltd., Civ Mill Industries Pvt. Ltd., Tirupati Industries and Ruby Fastner. He assessed various operational and infrastructure-related concerns and directed the concerned officials to ensure timely corrective action.

Access Control System to Be Implemented at Entry Gates

To regulate the movement of private vehicles within the industrial area, the BIADA Managing Director directed officials to implement an access control system at all entry gates. He also instructed officials to take immediate action, in accordance with applicable rules, against industrial units found storing construction materials without authorisation along the main roads and internal roads.

Strict Action on Waste Dumping and Sanitation Issues

Emphasising the need to maintain cleanliness, Kumar directed officials to ensure the immediate cleaning and removal of waste from the industrial area. He further instructed them to conduct awareness campaigns through public announcements and issue notices to industrial units to prevent waste dumping along roadsides. Violations will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable rules. The directions aim to improve sanitation and ensure that roads and public spaces within the industrial area remain clean and accessible.

Action Against Unauthorised Parking and Construction on BIADA Land

The Managing Director directed officials to take action under the applicable rules against unauthorised vehicle parking on BIADA land near the Polytechnic and Sai Temple. He also instructed officials to issue a notice to the management of Sai Temple regarding the alleged unauthorised construction of a building on BIADA land. The authority is seeking to ensure the regulated use of industrial land and prevent unauthorised occupation or construction.

BUIDCO to Be Asked to Pay Road Restoration Costs

Reviewing road maintenance and infrastructure conditions, Kumar expressed serious concern over the failure to restore a road to its original condition following sewer line repair work carried out by the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO). He directed officials to issue a formal communication to BUIDCO for recovery of the estimated cost of restoring the road. The move is intended to ensure proper maintenance of industrial infrastructure and accountability for repair work affecting roads and public facilities.

BIADA Engineers to Monitor Construction Compliance

To ensure the quality and regulatory compliance of construction activities, the Managing Director directed BIADA engineers to periodically inspect construction undertaken by industrial units. Officials have been instructed to verify that construction work conforms to building plans approved by BIADA-empanelled architects. The monitoring mechanism is expected to strengthen compliance with approved plans and help maintain orderly development within the industrial area.

Officials Directed to Ensure Time-Bound Action

Kumar directed the Executive Director (Operations) to ensure necessary action on all issues identified during the inspection. He also instructed the concerned Deputy General Manager and other officials to regularly monitor progress and ensure that corrective measures are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He emphasised accountability, timely execution and strict compliance with applicable rules.

BIADA reiterated its commitment to strengthening industrial infrastructure, improving facilities and maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised industrial environment across Bihar. Regular inspections, proper maintenance of infrastructure, regulated use of industrial land and effective enforcement of rules remain key priorities in creating an investor-friendly ecosystem and accelerating industrial development in the state.
