A scandal is brewing in the national capital as a video captures the Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Verma hitting a young man during a road inspection at Tilak Nagar.
In Tilak Nagar, PWD Minister Parvesh Verma reportedly slapped Saheb during a road inspection after Saheb highlighted poor construction quality and alleged corruption. Saheb claims he was threatened by the minister’s associates, and an FIR has been lodged regarding the incident captured on video.
According to the victim named Saheb, he was showing the bad quality road construction and the corruption involved after which Parvesh suddenly raised his hand and slapped him. He further added that people who were with the minister intimidated him.
Victim Says He Was Recording Road Inspection
According to Saheb, he handles the social media work of AAP MLA Jarnail Singh.
He said the group had reached the location after the PWD department called them to inspect the condition of the road. Saheb claimed that he showed the minister how the surface of the road was breaking apart during the inspection. According to his account, the situation became tense after the road quality was questioned.

“Threatened To Kill Me”
Talking about the incident, Saheb alleged that Verma lost his temper after the condition of the road was pointed out. He said the minister raised his hand against him while he was recording the interaction.
Saheb also alleged that associates accompanying the minister threatened to kill him. He claimed that police personnel were present at the location when the incident occurred.
‘There Is Video Evidence’
Saheb said the incident was not based only on allegations and that the confrontation had been captured on video. “We aren’t just making claims; there is video evidence of everything,” he said, adding that he wanted action to be taken against those responsible.
He also demanded an apology and said disciplinary action should be considered if the allegations are established.

FIR Filed, Says Saheb
The alleged victim said a complaint has been filed with the police and that he intends to pursue the matter further.
“We have lodged an FIR and will pursue further action,” Saheb said. The police investigation will determine the circumstances surrounding the confrontation and examine the available video footage and other evidence.

The alleged slap took place during a wider disagreement over the quality of road construction in Tilak Nagar.

AAP MLA Jarnail Singh had questioned the condition of the road and demonstrated that portions of its surface could be pulled apart. The exchange between the MLA and Verma later became heated.
The video of the confrontation has since circulated widely on social media, leading to a political dispute between the AAP and BJP.
