At 38, Anil Joshi has built a journey that reflects dedication, service, and a strong commitment to rural development. With close to 20 years of experience as a Veterinary Livestock Development Assistant in the Haryana government, Anil has consistently worked at the grassroots level, supporting farmers and improving livestock health.
Born in Loharu, Haryana, Anil’s early life was closely connected to village culture and animal care. This background played a key role in shaping a deep understanding of rural challenges and the importance of livestock in sustaining livelihoods. Since joining government service in 2006, Anil has worked extensively with farmers, helping them adopt better practices in animal husbandry.
Over time, Anil expanded efforts beyond official duties by founding SSJ Foundation. Through this platform, Anil has focused on creating awareness and delivering practical solutions to rural communities. Awareness camps, farmer interactions, and training sessions have become an important part of this work, helping people understand the importance of proper nutrition, disease prevention, and overall livestock management.
One of the key contributions has been promoting nutritional supplements in dairy farming. By guiding farmers on balanced feeding practices, Anil has helped improve milk production and animal health. These efforts have also supported farmers in increasing their income, making dairy farming more sustainable and reliable.
Anil’s work has been recognized at both state and national levels, with several awards highlighting contributions to the animal husbandry sector. However, the real impact lies in the change seen at the ground level, where farmers are better informed and more confident in managing their livestock.
Beyond technical knowledge, Anil is known for connecting directly with people. Regular interaction with farmers, understanding their concerns, and offering practical guidance have been central to this approach. This has helped build trust and encouraged communities to adopt improved practices.

Anil also believes strongly in the role of social responsibility. The message is clear: life should not be lived only for personal success, but also for contributing to society. This belief is reflected in continuous efforts to support communities and create awareness.
Through SSJ Foundation and ongoing fieldwork, Anil continues to work towards strengthening rural systems. The focus remains on improving animal health, supporting farmers, and creating sustainable growth in the dairy sector.
In a time when rural challenges require practical solutions and consistent effort, Anil’s journey stands as an example of how commitment and service can bring real change.
