Who Was Driving the Mercedes?
The Mercedes was being driven by Shubham, who is reportedly the son of a Haryana Police Sub-Inspector. Police arrested him from the accident site shortly after the crash.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the luxury car did not belong to Shubham. According to the police, it was owned by one of his friends, and he had borrowed it a day earlier for a trip.
Eyewitnesses Claim Driver Was Speeding And Intoxicated
Residents living near the accident site rushed out after hearing a loud crash.
Eyewitnesses alleged that Shubham was driving the Mercedes at a high speed and appeared to be drunk. They said the impact of the collision was so severe that it pushed the WagonR into the parked loading vehicle.
Visuals from the accident spot reportedly showed Shubham sitting behind the steering wheel after the crash, appearing distressed. A liquor bottle was also reportedly seen in the cup holder inside the Mercedes.
Medical Test Conducted
Following his arrest, Shubham was taken for a medical examination to determine whether he had consumed alcohol before the accident.
Police officials said they are awaiting the medical report, which will establish whether he was driving under the influence at the time of the crash.
