Senior Haryana BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi on Saturday demanded an apology from Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma. Kuldeep Bishnoi said Rekha Sharma made alleged remarks against former chief minister Bhajan Lal. Kuldeep Bishnoi also issued a warning to the party leadership. Kuldeep Bishnoi said the issue would escalate if action was not taken.

Kuldeep Bishnoi also criticised Haryana BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli. Kuldeep Bishnoi said Mohan Lal Badoli spoke about Bhajan Lal without respect. The Bishnoi Samaj had earlier sought an apology from Rekha Sharma. The community alleged Rekha Sharma made objectionable remarks in Panchkula during civic poll campaigning.
Kuldeep Bishnoi video on X targets Rekha Sharma remarks
In a video posted on X late Saturday, Kuldeep Bishnoi recalled Bhajan Lal’s public record. Kuldeep Bishnoi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party BJP in 2022 after leaving Congress. Kuldeep Bishnoi said Bhajan Lal stood for public service, not politics. Kuldeep Bishnoi described Bhajan Lal as central to Haryana’s history and identity.
“Chaudhary Bhajan Lal was not just a name, he was an institution and he embodied a steadfast resolve to live for people,\” Kuldeep Bishnoi said. \”He did not do politics, but public service. His work speaks for himself.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi added, \”Some read history, some create history, he was one of those who created history.\”
Kuldeep Bishnoi also used a metaphor to defend Bhajan Lal’s legacy. \”My father dedicated his entire life to serving people.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi added, \”It is often said that one cannot dim the suns rays by flinging dust at it.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi continued, \”Instead, the dust merely blinds the eyes of the one who throws it.\”
Turning to Rekha Sharma, Kuldeep Bishnoi said the remarks went beyond an error. \”and today, an attempt is being made to raise a question mark on that great name.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi said, \”I wish to state clearly and fearlessly, Rekhaji, your statement is not merely a mistake, it is indicative of the weakness of your mindset.\”
Kuldeep Bishnoi continued, \”History bears witness that you have not simply uttered those words, you have exposed your intellectual fragility and immaturity.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi added, \”You are attempting to erase a name that has shaped both the destiny and the identity of this state,\” Kuldeep Bishnoi asserted.
Kuldeep Bishnoi also said a \”novice politician\” could not grasp the cost of leadership. Kuldeep Bishnoi said creating history needed sacrifice and hard work. Kuldeep Bishnoi said Bhajan Lal \”ruled over peoples hearts\”. Kuldeep Bishnoi said any insult affected poor people, farmers, and labourers who saw Bhajan Lal as their voice.
Kuldeep Bishnoi also took a dig at Rekha Sharma in Hindi. \”Cycle chalane ki aukat nahi thi, hawai jahaz pakda diya aapko you were not even good enough to ride a bicycle and here you have been given the charge of an aeroplane.\”
Kuldeep Bishnoi says BJP rise in Haryana linked to Rekha Sharma row
Kuldeep Bishnoi claimed the BJP was less known in Haryana before forming the state government. Kuldeep Bishnoi said this happened more than 10 years ago. Kuldeep Bishnoi said the BJP formed the government in Haryana three times. Kuldeep Bishnoi claimed a key role in two of those victories.
Kuldeep Bishnoi also referred to vote share movement towards the BJP. \”Who knew the BJP earlier in Haryana? From our vote share, 7.75 per cent was transferred to the BJP.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi warned that insulting senior leaders would have consequences. \”If you insult tall leaders like this, people will not forget it nor will we make them forget,\” Kuldeep Bishnoi said.
Kuldeep Bishnoi issued a direct warning to the BJP leadership. \”I want to state in clear terms, do not compel me to take such a step that I once again bring you crashing down from the pinnacle of success to the rock bottom arsh say farsh tak,\” Kuldeep Bishnoi said.
Kuldeep Bishnoi said discipline held back stronger action. \”I am a disciplined soldier of the BJP and that is why I am warning you, otherwise I would have taken the step.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi demanded an apology from Rekha Sharma. Kuldeep Bishnoi also asked Mohan Lal Badoli to use Bhajan Lal’s name respectfully.
Kuldeep Bishnoi said the party should act against Rekha Sharma if needed. Kuldeep Bishnoi said Rekha Sharma should apologise or face a party notice. Kuldeep Bishnoi repeated that the dispute could widen if ignored. Kuldeep Bishnoi said the matter would not stay limited if no action followed.
Kuldeep Bishnoi ended with another warning about political strength. \”Dont compel me…. I am that old babbar sher lion.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi added, \”You can keep a lion in a cage, but no one can dare go near it or touch it.\” Kuldeep Bishnoi said, \”Even today, Kuldeep Bishnoi is the same babbar sher that he once was,\” and repeated the demand for accountability.
