Twin Children Rescued From Flood-Hit Area
These visuals show that the rescued twins are now held by the personnel of the Nepal Army after being evacuated from the disaster-hit area.
It seems that the soldiers are taking care of the children as the emergency team tries to evacuate the survivors.

The emotional pictures have gained considerable popularity on the Internet especially as the rescue mission is proceeding amidst very tough circumstances.
Nepal Army Steps Up Rescue Operations
Nepal Army helicopters have become crucial to the rescue effort because several roads and bridges in the affected areas have been damaged or washed away.
According to Radio Nepal, Army helicopters rescued 123 people from Timure in Rasuwa, including 94 Nepali citizens and 29 foreign nationals.
Helicopters are being used to reach people stranded in locations that remain difficult to access by road.
What Caused The Devastating Floods?
This disaster hit Rasuwa district and Nepal-China border regions hard.
Reports from the beginning suggested that the floods were caused by an avalanche or glacial collapse that dammed the Lhende tributary of the Bhotekoshi river. The massive water and debris flow destroyed roads and bridges and cut off several communities.
Flooded by such a massive wave, roads and bridges collapsed, isolating many communities.
Nepal Flash Flood Death Toll Crosses 350
The scale of the catastrophe has been increasing as bodies continue to be recovered and the search continues.
Reuters estimated at least 359 dead in Nepal and China, with more than 1,000 missing. The Associated Press put the figure of dead at least 353 with more than 1,300 missing from both countries.
This discrepancy in the number of casualties is due to the on-going rescue operations and compilation of information.
Search For Missing People Continues
Rescue teams are still working to locate people who remain missing following the floods.
The operation is being made harder by destroyed infrastructure, difficult Himalayan terrain and disrupted access to several affected settlements.
Army helicopters are therefore playing a key role in evacuating stranded residents and foreign nationals.
