The drama of veteran actor Govinda’s personal life is not stopping anytime soon, his wife Sunita Ahuja’s remarks have been continue to target actor and his co-star. Now, there’s a new update to this all drama, as according to Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha, Sunita Ahuja has withdrawn divorce case against him. Sunita was recently seen at a family court in Bandra.
Sunita Ahuja, wife of actor Govinda, has withdrawn her divorce case filed on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra family court, a development confirmed by Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha.
Sunita Ahuja Withdraws Divorce Case
While speaking about Sunita Ahuja’s visit to family court, manager Shashi Sinha said he was very disappointed that Govinda and Sunita’s personal problems became public drama and says that it should have been resolved in private discussions.
“But once it reaches the courts, the whole world knows. Did the world need to know? There was no need. Family matters should stay within the family. Many things get resolved after sitting and talking things through. If the case was to be withdrawn today, why was it filed in the first place? This pains me. Why did we become a spectacle?” he added.
Manager Sinha also confirmed that Govinda has not reaction to this incident and it took place just few minutes back. Now he has appealed everyone including Govinda, Sunita and their children to act wisely publicly.
When Did Govinda-Sunita Divorce Rumours Begin?
The reports of Govinda and Sunita’s divorce started coming in early 2025, when Sunita for the first time spoke against Govinda. Even the legal court reports confirmed she had filed a divorce petition at Bandra family court on 5 December 2024, while mentioning adultery, cruelty and desertion under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
However, Govinda’s lawyer Lalit Bindal said that the couple have reconciled again and in February 2025, he said that the couple ‘were going strong’.
Sunita’s Remarks And Govinda’s Response
Sunita has been very vocal about their relationship in last few days and he even targeted Govinda on multiple occasion. She recently reffered Govinda as ‘sugar daddy’ after he was appeared with his co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar from his next film ‘Roopa’. Although Govinda has always been clear that she is trying to damage his reputation and professional work.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in 1987 and they kept the information of their wedding private until their first daughter Tina Ahuja was born in 1988. Later in 1997, they were blessed with son Yashvardhan.
