Iran’s Embassy in India has mocked US President Donald Trump after his Republican Party suffered a major defeat in the 2026 US midterm elections. The embassy has shared a meme on X that shows four people throwing Trump into a dustbin marked ‘Hazardous Waste’.

Following the Democrats’ victory in the November 3, 2026 US midterm elections, Iran’s Embassy in India posted a meme mocking President Trump, depicting him discarded as ‘Hazardous Waste’, linking the Republican loss to his policies regarding the conflict with Tehran.
The post has come after Democrats won control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 3 November elections. Iran has used the result to take another shot at Trump and his policies.
Iran Embassy Shares Trump Dustbin Meme
The Iranian Embassy shared the picture on 4 November with a short caption, “The U.S. midterm elections”. The image shows four people carrying Trump and putting him inside a dustbin labelled ‘Hazardous Waste’.
The post has attracted attention on social media, with several users supporting the embassy’s message. One user wrote, “Today is the best day for DEMOCRACY.”

Another user thanked Iran and its leadership, writing, “Special thanks to the great people of Iran and their leadership for making it happen. International trash thrown in the dustbin.”
Iran Links Election Results To War Against Tehran
Iran has also connected the Republican defeat to Trump’s decision to continue the war against Tehran.
Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said American voters have made their position clear on war and rising living costs.
“Conscience or the cost of living, Americans said NO TO WAR, and we endorse this message,” Ghalibaf wrote on X.
The conflict started in February 2026 after US and Israeli forces carried out strikes on Iranian targets. The fighting has continued without a major breakthrough and has pushed fuel prices higher.
How Will Democratic Victory Affect Trump?
The election result has created a major challenge for Trump. Democrats will now have greater control over Congress and can question his administration, investigate its decisions and influence government spending.
However, Trump will remain the US President and will continue to have the power to veto bills and take foreign policy decisions.
He has also warned that the US could restart large-scale military operations against Iran if diplomatic talks fail.
